WHATLAND

By Ömer Yiğit Çiner

In this little world of rumble

with the hurry, the fury

the less you are sorry

the more it gets blurry

be… happy no worries

cause time goes as it goes

wish your true want

do all the don’ts

small what you are

so small what you were

and small will you be

in the eyes you now see

dance all you want

together or not

all it comes down

is the last part

snow on your feet

snow on your gloves

snow on your name

and snow on your laugh

right becomes wrong

wrong becomes right

but anyways we watch

the winter tonight

(radio voice)

a character, a whole show, has wit, power, the force, the deer, the horse,

short stories, long stories, all real, an embodiment of realness, true-to-nature, aware, bewildered, but challenges, everywhere, doesn’t care, fences, sidewalks, trees, branches, stairs, roofs, chimneys, sandstorms, icebergs, huge fields and herds, a house full of balloons and free-flying birds

with anything that is

supposed to belong to the world
