Dear Reader,
Everything which rises will eventually fall, which is what our authors and illustrators have conveyed in their works for this issue. Whether it be driven by greed and pride or hope and promise, whether it regards relationships, fame or an empire, what makes things valuable and interesting is the fact that they will not remain forever. Through reading and editing their works, we have further realised the importance of being in the moment, and hope to convey to our readers our own perspectives, not only as editors but as writers as well. Of course, this is only our interpretation of the theme. Our great authors and illustrators took this issue's theme, “rise and fall”, to unexpected levels, showing their skills, creativity and desire to share their views. So, dear reader, what does “rise and fall” mean to you? Can anything be eternal? Can what has fallen rise again, or must it stay where it has fallen? As you read and view this issue’s works, we invite you to ponder: Can something rise if it will not fall? Will it even be valuable, then?
Enjoy your DIVE,
