A sea is right inside
Right inside my mind, and yours
It has countless winds
And sometimes, hurricanes
The sea’s all shaken up
Enshrouded by fogs, waves, yelps…
Seeking the blue sky
But no, all smoky
Though, soon all settled down
Sun seizing the clouds away
Waves softened to whispers
Light spilled across the grey
There left shells by the wind
And when held to an ear,
The sea’s whisper could be heard
Filled in with courage, conscience or maybe compassion
